Our 2013-14 will continue to push our notion of the human experience through a variety of performances. Beginning in the fall, enjoy a staged reading of Dale Seeds' new play Cards and Letters from the Dakota War, directed by Thomas Riccio. Louis Nowra's The Golden Age, directed by Shirley Huston-Findley, runs during Family Weekend and serves as the department's contribution to the Fall Forum Series focusing on "Facing Race." The fall and spring dance concerts, directed by Kim Tritt, promise to be both diverse and exciting, featuring works of student, faculty and guest artists. And next spring marks the return of the Festival of New Plays, directed by Jimmy A. Noriega, where student playwrights, directors, performers, and designers will present their original work.
Senior Independent Study weekend (February 7-8, 2014) highlights the work of those seniors who explore the craft of theatre outside of our main stage productions in combination with their theoretical research.
