Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies
The Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies to begin in August 2014. The successful candidate will teach Introductory Women's Gender, and Sexuality Studies, Feminist Methodologies, upper-level WGSS courses in the candidate's specialty, and First Year Seminar. Area of specialization is open, but preference will be given to candidates who can teach Global/Transnational Feminisms. The teaching load is 3-3, which may include advising senior Independent Study thesis projects. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or be ABD in Women's/Gender/Sexuality/ Feminist Studies (WGSFS) at the time of appointment, or hold a degree in another field with a graduate certificate or significant interdisciplinary training in WGSFS. Prior teaching is desirable and applicants should provide evidence of their ability to teach introductory and upper-level courses in WGSS.
