Several types of need-based grants are available to our students that do not have to be repaid.
Students demonstrating financial need may be offered institutional grant aid in addition to grants from other sources. The major portion of grant-aid received by Wooster students comes from the College itself.
Federal Pell Grants are awarded to undergraduate students who demonstrate high financial need according to a federal eligibility formula. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the Pell Grant application.
Wooster receives and awards Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants to those who qualify on the basis of extreme need.
Several states (including Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont) offer scholarships which can be used at The College of Wooster. Please contact the Financial Aid Office for more information.
