Time: 10am - 4pm (Includes a catered lunch)

Many people are passionate about issues. Examples include climate change, local foods, cancer awareness, poverty, healthcare or workers rights. Can you affect change and raise awareness on your issue? The answer is, “yes you can!”
Come to a workshop that will help you discover the power of narratives. How do you connect with people through values to mobilize support? How doe you motivate people to act?. You will explore the tactics for pursuing change, including advocacy, electoral campaigns, lobbying, organizing, and policy development.
The workshop will be led by The Center for Progressive Leadership (CPL), a national nonpartisan political training institute based in Washington, D.C. that has trained over 5,000 diverse leaders at every level of political involvement.
The workshop is open to students, administrators, faculty, alumni, and community members. Information for registering can be found from the links below. Please contact Thomas Tierney if you have any questions.
