Kathryn Boes, Visiting Assistant Professor in the Biology Department at the College of Wooster will present...
"Investigating how males and females influence each other: research in honey bees and mosquitoes."
Kathryn received her B.S. from Bucknell University in 2002 and her Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 2008.
Kathryn's research interests include animal behavior, ecology, and evolution, with a focus on the behavior of social insects. She has taught biology courses at the University of Michigan, The Ohio State University-Mansfield, and Ashland University. Katie has published peer-reviewed research articles in Insectes Sociaux and Behavioral Ecology.
Her research has included antimicrobial effects of avian incubation, long-term effects of elevated stress hormone levels in early development, and metabolism of incubating birds.
