Off Campus Study
Many of our students take advantage of the opportunity to study abroad and to experience other cultures first-hand. Because of the College's affiliation with the Great Lakes Colleges Association (GLCA), Wooster students may participate in various off-campus programs in all regions of the world. Popular programs for our majors include several of the SIT programs, the Earlham Borders Program, and various IES programs.
For students who wish to participate in a domestic program, the GLCA Philadelphia Center program offers the opportunity to participate in internships with a wide variety of private and governmental organizations in the Philadelphia area. Students use the city and its resources as a classroom as they take advantage of seminars, workshops, and colloquia designed to complement their internship experiences.
Recent anthropology majors have spent either a semester or a year in such diverse locales as Australia, Samoa, Scotland, Nepal, Ecuador, Japan, and Namibia.
