WOOSTER, Ohio — The College of Wooster honored nine recent retirees and 85 employees marking significant milestones at its annual Service Recognition Luncheon on Tuesday (May 17). Nancy Anderson, director of Wooster’s Wellness Center who retired after 30 years of service, was honored along with Roger Collier, director of the publications, and Jim Fishburn, director of purchasing services. Also recognized for their service were retirees Marjorie Tidball of the development staff; Kathleen Radcliff of dining services; Norma Boggs and James McGinnis of custodial services; and LeRoy Boulton and Elaine Over of the grounds crew.
The longest tenured current employees to be honored this year were Lynn Catlos, who has spent 35 years at the Florence O. Wilson Bookstore, and Linda Gray, who is in her 30th year with dining services.
Other longtime staff members to be honored were 25-year employees Geraldine Barnes (custodial services), Jan Hamill (wellness center), and Natalie McCoy (administrative coordinator); 20-year employees Linda Barbu (mathematics and computer science), Teri Gray (grounds crew), David Miller (financial aid), Steve Plant (Lowry Center), Bob Rodda (Lowry Center), Elaine Smith Snyder (special collections), Fred Vizzo (physical education), and Sheila Wilson (purchasing services); and 15-year veterans, Sue Bennett (finance and business office), Richard Danch (physical education), Vince DiScipio (digital infrastructure), Jennifer Garver (campus dining), Jacqueline Middleton (facilities and auxiliaries), Randy Middleton (maintenance operations), Roger Moore (custodial services), Linda Morgan-Clement (interfaith campus ministries), Barbara Polen (alumni relations), Peggy Pumphrey (custodial services), and Sharon Rice (alumni relations).
Those honored for 10 years of service were Connie Alexander (campus dining), Carol Berkey (campus dining), Tonya Besancon (campus dining), Christina Biggs (campus dining), James Davis (maintenance operations), Alan Ho (campus dining), Annie Ho (campus dining), Wanda Holcomb (campus dining), Steven Ladrach (maintenance operations), Holly Lantis (human resources), Donald Ogrizek (power plant and utilities), Brian Orosz (grounds crew), Carol Rakoczy (human resources), Josie Sampsel (custodial services), Marjorie Shamp (campus dining), John Shatzer (user services), Bob Shipley (digital infrastructure), David Smith (campus dining), Debra Snyder (campus dining), Rex Stype (campus dining), Venice Swigart (custodial services), Ray Tucker (Wellness Center), and Kathleen Wright (campus dining).

Part-time employees marking milestones this year included 35-year veteran Suzanne Collins, a member of the golf operations staff and a former member of the nursery school staff, and 30-year veteran Carol Stewart, a member of the Nursery School staff. In addition, Donald Starr (golf operations) celebrated 20 years; Dwight Campbell (maintenance operations) and April Gallagher (nursery school) marked 10 years of service; and Margaret Meeker-Bourne (nursery school), Anne Hopkins (nursery school), Pamela Mullen (campus dining), and William Hughes (golf operations) each celebrated five years of service.
