Open Letter to the College Community
It is a pleasure to present to you this information that defines the role of our employee assistance program that is designed to provide professional short-term help for work-related issues. The College supports all faculty and staff members in seeking assistance, and the program reflects the value that The College of Wooster places on its faculty and staff members. The College has contracted with SOURCE ONE EAP to provide these services, with the recognition that from time to time, work-related stress and conflicts are encountered in the workplace. The SOURCE ONE program is designed to provide a professional means of helping all faculty and staff resolve such issues. This information will help you understand our program and how to obtain assistance when or if you need it. SOURCE ONE Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a benefit provided by The College of Wooster to help full or part-time faculty or staff members resolve work-related problems they have not been able to resolve on their own, such as: Conflicts with co-workers, Job related stress, Communication problems that impair performance or negatively impact morale, and Dealing with difficult people in the work place. If you are dealing with such a problem, SOURCE ONE can help. SOURCE ONE will provide, at no cost to you, up to three sessions of: Consultation, Short-term counseling, Problem assessment, and Referral services. SOURCE ONE can help!!
Who is eligible to use SourceOne?
The College of Wooster’s full- or part-time faculty and staff members. How are appointments with SourceOne scheduled? Call SOURCE ONE, Identify your employer, and Indicate you would like to schedule an appointment with a SOURCE ONE counselor.
Are SourceOne services confidential? (Yes!)
Except in situations involving child abuse, elder abuse, or threats of violence against self or other, your SOURCE ONE counselor cannot release any personal information to your employer or anyone else without your written authorization. This is true even if your employer referred you to SOURCE ONE.Additionally, SOURCE ONE makes every effort not to schedule staff members from the same company at the same time.
What are the hours of service?
Monday: 12:00pm – 9:00pm, Tuesday–Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm. We also attempt to accommodate faculty and staff members who cannot visit during regular business hours whenever possible. Crisis Intervention Services available 24 hours per day.
Who pays for SourceOne?
Your employer! As part of your College of Wooster benefit package, you can meet with a SOURCE ONE counselor up to three (3) times a year. If additional services are needed (and often they are not), your SOURCE ONE counselor will match you with a provider that takes into consideration your needs, location, and health insurance coverage and/or particular financial situation.
