Arthaus

The Artist’s Voice

The Arthaus is a collection of artists and artistically inclined individuals interested in improving both the quality and the quantity of art available to students of the College of Wooster and members of the surrounding Wooster community. Our partner, the Wayne Center for the Arts, is a local community center. Our primary goal is to provide them with much-needed volunteer work. We will help with various aspects of their community arts programming, including the children’s theatre program, artistic exhibitions, publicity, organizational needs, and miscellaneous manual labor needs.

On the College of Wooster campus, The Arthaus will branch out in many directions to foster creative work in a variety of different mediums and work with a variety of student organizations. Arthaus members usually have particular interests that they would like to explore and promote on campus, and enjoy being exposed to new experiences. We will hold monthly poetry readings, where live music and the culinary arts will be featured. We will hold a major (4-6 hours) concert in the fall and large festival in the spring.
