Multi-ethnic Student Council

Created in 2012, the Multi-ethnic Student Council (MSC) at Wooster was initiated to demonstrate the unity among the multicultural student organizations. Throughout the academic year, the council works collectively to promote and engage the campus community in cultural education through programming and discussion. Each multicultural student organization holds two seats on the council, so that each group is equally represented. Council members meet on a monthly basis to discuss campus activities, methods of addressing cultural issues on campus, and building partnerships between organizations for future events.

Mission Statement

"We, the MSC, are a distinct community of learners on purpose, who believe that a premier liberal learning environment can only flourish in a community where, WE, our lived experiences, and our underrepresented perspectives are voiced, respected, and valued in campus policy, student activities, and throughout daily life at The College of Wooster. This Council is a space for multi-ethnic, both domestic and international, understanding, advocacy, and accountability."
