March Book Displays

With our March book displays, the Libraries are celebrating Disability Awareness Month and Women’s History Month.
For Disability Awareness Month, librarians and library staff curated two dozen books in conjunction with the Disability Advocacy and Support Alliance on campus. “[Their] mission is to create a safe space on campus where students can share their experiences and provide advice on how to navigate college with a disability.” Find out more about DASA at The College of Wooster via their linktree: https://linktr.ee/dasa.woo
March 1982 saw the first celebration of Women’s History Week, with the inaugural instance of Women’s History Month just five years later in 1987. The month “celebrate[s] the contributions women have made to the United States and recognize the specific achievements women have made over the course of American history in a variety of fields.” To learn more, check out a book from the display or visit https://womenshistorymonth.gov
Both collections are on display in the lobby of Andrews Library. Feel free to visit! All books are available for checkout.
