Angela Graham joins The College of Wooster after teaching instrumental music in Springfield, MA for several years. There she grew her program at Chestnut TAG Middle School to one of the most comprehensive and inclusive in the city.
In additionto her public-school teaching, Graham served on multiple marching band staffs, including pit instructor for Fermi and Enfield High Schoolsin Enfield, CT.
While a graduate assistant at the University of New Hampshire, she oversawmusic education students in their field experiences, assisted the UNH Wildcat Marching Band, and conducted the instrumental ensembles.
Regularly in demand as a performer, Mrs. Graham is an accomplished pianistand trombonist. She has performed in multiple states, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Austria. For several years, she has also adjudicated piano competitions for the New England Music Festival, sponsored by the Accordion Teachers Association of Massachusetts, and the Young Artist Piano Competition.
Graham holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Westfield State University in Westfield, MA, where she studied conducting with Dr. Karen LaVoie, piano with Professor Galina Gertsenzon and Dr. Andrew Bonacci, and trombone with Professor Tim Atherton. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Conducting from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH, where she studied conducting with Dr. Andrew Boysen, Jr., Professor Casey Goodwin, Professor Mark Zielinski, and Dr. David Upham, and trombone with Professor Nic Orovich.
