Arleigh Savage, bassoon. Michigan native and bassoonist Arleigh Savage resides in Cleveland, OH. She pursues a varied artistic career involving chamber music, orchestral performance, music education, and collaborations with artistic groups outside the realm of classical music including Cellocentric, a folk/jazz trio. Arleigh is second bassoonist with CityMusic Cleveland and the Lancaster Summer Music Festival, and principal bassoonist with the Cleveland Opera Theater. She is cofounder of the professional wind quintet, The North Coast Winds (NCW), and serves as performer, educational outreach coordinator, and staff member at NCW’s annual Chamber Music Camp. Arleigh earned her Bachelor of Music at Michigan State University. In 2010 she moved to Cleveland, OH to study at the Cleveland Institute of Music under the tutelage of John Clouser, receiving a Master’s degree in 2012. Upon graduation, she was the recipient of the George F. Goslee prize in bassoon.
