Our Interim Director of Religious & Spiritual Life, Erin Guzmán, fills the role of Chaplain. This is Erin’s second year as Interim, after working two years at the College as an Affiliate Campus Minister in RSL and as the Director of Student Ministries at Westminster Presbyterian Church on campus. She has assisted the CDI with various programs, events, and trainings, worked closely with student groups, led on-campus mindfulness and Christian worship services, and accompanied students and staff on Fall and Spring Break service/immersion trips. She holds a Master of Divinity (M.Div) degree from Vanderbilt University Divinity School, with educational concentrations in pastoral care related to grief-transitions and theological ethics connected to race, gender, sexuality, disability, and other aspects of embodiment.

Erin is currently pursuing ordination as a Teaching Elder in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) with credentialing in Multifaith Spiritual Direction and plans to complete formal training as a mindfulness coach. She has backgrounds in communications and design, education and event planning, and faith-based community organizing. She enjoys deep conversation (preferably on a rooftop/patio/porchsetting), preaching/teaching, spending time in her inflatable kayak, listening to stand-up comedy, and searching for the best vanilla latté. Erin also has an amazing quarantine rescue dog named Toffee, who has her own Instagram account (@rev.toffeedog) and a growing Wooster fan-base.
