Jennifer Call has spent her nearly 20-year professional career as a teacher and conductor focused on building voices and community through the practice of healthy singing pedagogy paired with inspiring and high-quality repertoire selection. Mrs. Call is the Conductor of Preparatory Choirs and Voice Faculty Chair at Cleveland Institute of Music, Preparatory and Continuing Education Division and Adjunct Professor of Music at the College of Wooster where she teaches voice, choral conducting and conducts Wooster Singers. Mrs. Call holds a Bachelor of Music Education from The Ohio State University and a Master of Music from The University of Akron.

Ensembles under Mrs. Call's direction have performed nationally and internationally including Chartres Cathedral, Chartres, France; St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin, Ireland; and Carnegie Hall, New York City. She is a frequently requested conductor and clinician for Honor Choirs, choral clinics, and teacher training workshops around the nation. As an advocate for life-long singing, she is devoted to the study and practice of healthy vocal technique – combining her skills as conductor and voice teacher in both the private studio and choral rehearsal room.

Prior to her current appointments, Mrs. Call served as Artistic Director and Conductor of the Oberlin Choristers children's choir program. While with the Choristers, she conducted and toured nationally and internationally with the advanced treble choir, Canterra Musica, oversaw the vision and production elements of creative and unique performances, and managed the comprehensive K-12 choral program. In addition, Mrs. Call spent over a decade as an active public-school music educator in Northeast Ohio.

Mrs. Call is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and serves on the board of the Ohio Choral Director’s Association. She has presented on topics of choral repertoire for the changing voice, vocal pedagogy for the changing voice, and rehearsal techniques for middle and high school choirs. She is an active church musician at Church of the Saviour in Cleveland Heights as both a singer and Director of Children’s Choirs.
