Kim was born and raised in South Carolina. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to expand her areas of expertise and delve deeply into intersectional identities with a focus on justice and supporting students. After graduating from The College of William and Mary, Kim immersed herself in the greater Williamsburg, Virginia community and the Williamsburg-James City County school system while spending summers working with students through York County Parks, Recreation & Tourism.
When the opportunity presented itself to return to her alma mater, Kim returned to serve as the Fellow for Education Programs in the Office of Community Engagement. During her time back at William and Mary, Kim advised and worked closely with two education programs to increase the impact of tutoring and mentoring in the local community and develop a deeper awareness of social justice issues in education.
Kim is excited to be at The College of Wooster, serving as the Program Coordinator in the Center for Diversity and Inclusion, and hopes to help create informed, brave, and welcoming spaces for all students, faculty, and staff. She will be primarily working with Multicultural Student Affairs and Sexuality & Gender Inclusion.
Kim enjoys journaling, fiction, exploring new cuisine, and Seattle Reign soccer.
