Dr. Lisa A. Steffensen earned a Bachelors and Masters of Arts in Linguistics, an M.Ed. in College Student Personnel, and her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Previously, Dr. Steffensen served as the Dean of Student Affairs at South University, Austin where she was responsible for Student Activities, Student Conduct, Title IX, managing complaints and grievances, New Student Orientation, career services, and graduation services. Dr. Steffensen’ s other areas of expertise include Career Services and Residential Life. In her role as the Assistant Dean of Students, Dr. Steffensen is responsible for providing support and guidance to students, particularly those in the junior and senior classes, as issues arise.
In addition, working in collaboration with campus offices for various programmatic efforts including I.S. Monday and Senior Weekend. Dr. Steffensen has relocated from Texas, with her husband, Jason, their dog and two cats. Although new to the Wooster area, both Jason and Lisa have family in Ohio including two grandchildren in Lancaster, Ohio. They are looking forward to spending more time with their families, exploring the state parks in Ohio, and becoming involved in the Wooster Community.
