As the Culture, Academics and Language Consultant in the Learning Center, I provide academic support for all students, with a special focus on supporting international students as they adjust to the U.S. college system and continue to improve their knowledge of English. I have a Masters degree in English from Indiana University – Bloomington and a Masters in Clinical Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. I have taught writing and other courses at several U.S. colleges and taught English to non-native speakers at Ashland University and in Central Asia.  When I am not on campus, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, writing, and exploring the nearby wetlands with my family, our dog, and my camera.

I love the College of Wooster’s commitment to student discovery – not only the discovery of knowledge within an academic field but also an individual student’s discovery of his/her own passion, strengths, and possibilities.
