Research Interests

Queer theory, art and aesthetics, performance, popular culture, media, diaspora studies, South Asian studies, cultural studies, race, decolonial thought, affect, and visual literacy. My first book project develops a theory of play as a dissenting, queer aesthetic at the heart of the visual culture of difference.
