The purpose of the Peace Corps Prep Club is to provide a community to complement the advising and mentoring of students in the Peace Corps Prep program. Students are interested in Peace Corps and other service-oriented careers both in the developing world and in the US. Peace Corps Prep clubs coordinates a series of activities designed to build community, and promote student understanding of the international community and the challenges of development work. The program provides a space for conversations with speakers, returned Peace Corps volunteers, and other professionals working in the field. Participating students will participate in a range of volunteering opportunities in our community, while also seeking out other experiential learning experiences. The program also aims to help students better understand Peace Corps, and the Peace Corps application process. Participating students are not required to apply to the Peace Corps or guaranteed of acceptance into the Peace Corps.
