The College of Wooster’s Pre-Health Advising Program prepares students to apply for medical school, dental school, veterinary school, and a host of other health-related graduate programs.

Pre-Health Advising sponsors personal advising and informational sessions, oversees shadowing experiences and health-related volunteer opportunities, and assists students with all aspects of their health career program applications.

Dual Degree Programs

Wooster partners with Case Western Reserve University to offer a dual degree option for students:

Seven-Year Pre-Dental/Dental Program

Students in the Seven-Year Pre-Dental/Dental Program will spend three years at Wooster followed by four years at the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine, culminating in the Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Case Western Reserve University. Students accepted to this program will have guaranteed placement in the first-year class at the School of Dental Medicine at Case upon completion of their junior year at The College of Wooster, provided that they maintain a 3.5 GPA overall and in the sciences, plus receive a score of 19 or better on the DAT exam.  Interested prospective students should indicate their interest in the Seven-Year Program in their application to The College of Wooster and must apply to this program before starting at Wooster.  Applications must be received no later than November 15. Consultation with a member of the Pre-Health Faculty is strongly encouraged.
