Russian Living-Learning at Wooster

Students of Russian at Wooster often take advantage of the opportunity to live in the Russian House in Luce Hall. In this close-knit community, students experience language and cultural immersion as they live with a Foreign Language Teaching Assistant from Russia.

The Russian Suite hosts several events to facilitate the learning process. At Russian Tea and Russian Table, students, professors, and native speakers meet to discuss current events, literature, music, and practice speaking Russian. Every Fall, they collaborate and prepare an act for the Culture Show, which is a part of International Education Week. Some of the benefits of the Russian House are the impromptu events that the students put together. Some from the past have included cooking traditional Russian dishes, Russian movie nights, and playing games in Russian.
