Caring for Self & Other: Elevating Mental Health & Well-being for Young Women of Color

The CDI, Wellness Center, and Dean of Students Office invite young women of color to gather in person to view and engaging, grounding and inspiring webinar, focused on mental health and well-being.

As the nation’s leading organization focused on supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of young people of color, The Steve Fund is excited to bring young women of color together during an empowering, supportive and dynamic virtual session led by Dr. Thema Bryant-Davis—APA President-Elect, internationally recognized lecturer, performer, and minister. Her expertise on trauma, holistic healing, with special focus on the intersection of gender and race, and thriving in today’s world is precisely what we need at this moment in time.

Now, more than ever, women of color face unique stressors that are compounded by the intersection of race and gender identities. Attendees of this event will be guided through an inspiring and empowering interactive experience. During this two-hour virtual event, take time for self-awareness, healing, and mentorship as we engage with one another around the important relationship between mind, body and spirit. Our goal is to assist in providing young women of color the tools, support, and community they need to thrive in daily life and today's society.

November 20th

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Duration: 2 hours
