Go Abroad Again

Now that you are back at Wooster, you may be actively searching for ways to go abroad again. Wooster has some great options to help you do so:

Copeland Funds

These funds are for seniors to support and enhance your Independent Study Project. The grant can help subsidize travel to your host country (or a new location) to conduct interviews, visit museums, art galleries, libraries, and/or science laboratories, etc. to help with your I.S.

TREK programs

TREK programs are short-term study abroad programs arranged and led by Wooster faculty. The themes and locations of the programs change each year, and they are a wonderful opportunity to have another experience abroad. They take place over school breaks, so they can easily fit into your schedule.

Fulbright and Peace Corps

There are several opportunities to spend significant time abroad after graduation.

Fulbright U.S. Student Program was created by Congress to foster mutual understanding among nations through educational and cultural exchanges. Students can get funding to either teach or study abroad for one year. Recipients of the Fulbright receive funds for travel, tuition, medical insurance, and living expenses. Please be aware of the timeline - applications are due in September of your senior year.

Peace Corps sends Americans abroad to tackle the most pressing needs of people around the world. Peace Corps volunteers work at the grassroots level toward sustainable change for a period of two years. APEX and GEO offers the Peace Corps Prep to help Wooster students who want to pursue global issues, peacebuilding, and service-oriented programs post Wooster.

Peace Corps Prep

The College of Wooster offers a Peace Corps Prep program to help you create a strong Peace Corps application while deepening your knowledge of one specific service sector.
