Being immersed in a new country and culture can be challenging. If you are having trouble adapting and settling into life in Wooster, please remember that the Longbrake Student Wellness Center includes a staff of professional counselors who would be happy to talk with you about any issue of concern, including homesickness, making friends, settling in, family issues, etc. You can also talk with the ISS staff.
What is culture shock? How do you know if you have it? What are some strategies for getting through it? We’ll tell you all these things in more in the next few sections.
