Early Arrival

Early Arrival

If you are a member of an athletic team, college group, or are employed by a College department that requires you to arrive on campus before the scheduled date, the sponsoring team/organization/department must notify the Office of Residence Life by submitting a complete roster of students returning early. Regardless of why you are arriving, you will need to complete your own Early Arrival Application. Applications are located on your Housing Self-Service page under applications and must be completed by Wednesday, August 7th, 2019. Completion of this form does not guarantee approval of your early arrival. You will be notified via email if your request has been approved or denied after the application deadline has passed.

Staffing in the Residence Halls is limited prior to scheduled move in, so only requests that demonstrate need and warrant an early return will be approved. Early arrivals request for getting a head start on research/working on I.S. will not be approved.

Domestic students who are requesting to arrive prior to August 17th will not be approved. International students are able to arrive on campus beginning Wednesday, August 14th. If approved for a personal early arrival request, a $50 nightly fee will be assessed to your student account. Requests submitted after the deadline may result in a $50 late fee assessed to your student account. Filling out the Early Arrival Application does not cover you for meals. You will need to check with your coach/supervisor to see if your meals will be covered during this time. First meal for upper-class students is Tuesday, August 20th at noon.

Upper-class students who wish to have their early arrival fee waived and are willing to help with First Year Move-In on Sunday, August 18th from 1-4pm must fill out the Early Arrival Application and the Move-In Volunteer Application.
