Programs & Events
LGBTQ+ History Month
LGBTQ+ History Month is celebrated with annual month-long observances of lesbian, gay, bi, trans, and queer history, along with the history of gay rights and related civil rights movements. National Coming Out Day (October 11th) and the March on Washington in 1979 are commemorated during LGBTQ+ History Month.
Community Care & Craft Nights
Community Care & Craft Nights are a time to join in community & create something unique. These events take place on the second Wednesday of each month from 5 – 7 pm in the Q Space located on the Ground Floor of Compton.
Pride Month
Each spring CDI units and student organizations partner to celebrate Pride Month, highlighting our LGBTQ+ Pride Festival and other various events.
Lavender Graduation
Lavender Graduation is an affirming ceremony that honors our graduating lesbian, gay, bi, trans, and queer students.
Student Organizations
Queer & Trans People of Color
Queer & Trans People of Color (QTPOC) is a community and network for people within the margins of racial, gender, romantic, and sexual identities.
Queer Student Union
Queer Student Union (QSU) is a student advocacy, awareness, and social group for those belonging to the LGBTQ+ community and allies that aims to foster a safe and respectful community while engaging in a campus-wide dialogue.
Sexual Respect Coalition
Sexual Respect Coalition (formerly known as (K(no)w) works to educate, support, and advocate for the campus community in regards to sexual assault prevention and sex education. SRC is a student org dedicated to promoting a healthy and safe climate surrounding sex on campus.
