Program Overview

What can you do with a Global Queer Studies minor?

Global Queer Studies examines how gender, sexuality, identity, and culture are understood across different societies and historical periods. Rather than focusing on a single place or perspective, the minor encourages you to explore how communities around the world experience, express, and understand these aspects of human life.

As part of the Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies Program, the minor brings together courses from across the liberal arts while combining academic study with practica, peer mentorship, and student-led learning opportunities. Whether paired with the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, or another field, Global Queer Studies helps you think critically, engage across cultures, and approach complex questions from multiple perspectives.
