Wooster's Signature Health Coach Program
One of Wooster's signature opportunities is the Health Coach Program. Made possible through our partnership with the Wooster Community Hospital Health System’s Community Care Network, this program allows students to gain supervised clinical experience while working with community members to support their health and wellness goals. Rather than simply observing healthcare, students become active participants in patient-centered care while working alongside healthcare professionals.
Academic Opportunities
Build experience that matters.
Preparing for a health profession requires much more than completing prerequisite courses. Throughout your time at Wooster, you'll have opportunities to connect classroom learning with real-world practice through clinical experiences, research, service, and community engagement.
Students participate in physician shadowing, health-related volunteer work, undergraduate research, and the Health Coach Program, gaining firsthand experience with patients while developing communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Students interested in specific healthcare professions can also pursue specialized advising for medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, physician assistant studies, and other health careers.
Students interested in dentistry may also explore Wooster's accelerated Seven-Year Pre-Dental/D.D.S. partnership with Case Western Reserve University.
