Kerstin Vaughn

Kerstin Vaughn is a theatre director, artist, and educator originally from Norton, Ohio. She has worked as a performer, stage manager, teacher, and director in several states all across the country.

Vaughn holds a BA in Theatre and Communication Studies from the University of Mount Union as well as a MFA in Performance and Pedagogy from Texas Tech University. She specializes in directing, voice and movement, and inclusive pedagogy. As a director, Vaughn focuses on contemporary stagings of classical works, using humor as a weapon, and developing new works. As an acting teacher, she studies somatics- engaging with the living, active, imaginative body and voice.

Vaughn is also an active artist outside of academia. She is regularly a director and intimacy choreographer for educational and community-based theatres across the Midwest. Recently, she solo-produced an original one-woman show, Yoga for Falling Apart, with Cleveland Public Theatre's Soft Launch and Cincinnati Fringe Festival.
