The College of Wooster's Pre-Dentistry Program combines personalized pre-health advising with an accelerated dual-degree opportunity for students pursuing careers in dentistry. Whether you plan to apply to dental school through the traditional route or pursue Wooster's accelerated partnership with Case Western Reserve University, you'll receive individualized guidance throughout your undergraduate experience.

Qualified students may also pursue Wooster's Seven-Year B.A./D.M.D. partnership with the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. Students complete three years at Wooster before entering Case Western Reserve University's four-year Doctor of Dental Medicine program, creating an accelerated pathway to both degrees.

Program Requirements

Students interested in the accelerated Seven-Year B.A./D.M.D. partnership complete three years at The College of Wooster before entering the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine.

To participate in the program, students must:

Apply to the accelerated program before enrolling at Wooster.
Submit their application by the published deadline (currently November 15).
Maintain a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and 3.5 science GPA.
Earn a minimum score of 19 on the Dental Admission Test (DAT).
Complete three years of undergraduate study at Wooster before matriculating to the Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine.
Meet the College's requirements for participation in a combined professional program, including completion of the senior year in absentia.
Receive the Bachelor of Arts degree from Wooster after completing the required portion of the dental curriculum at Case Western Reserve University.
Note that Wooster financial aid is not available during the senior year in absentia.
