Worried about affording a private college? Don’t be.

We understand that families are often curious, and may be overwhelmed, when it comes to projecting college costs. This is why it is our goal to provide information to applicants and their families about how to make college more affordable. Wooster is particularly fortunate to have incredibly successful and loyal alumni who donate generously, allowing us to provide surprisingly large aid awards.

This year, for example, more than 85% of our students received some assistance. Over $50 million of this aid takes the form of merit scholarships and need-based grants that are offered to students without any repayment obligation. Other major forms of financial aid available to incoming and current Wooster students includes over $7 million in loans and $1 million in campus employment opportunities.

Wonder if you will qualify for financial aid?

The 2023-2024 FAFSA is available as of October 1, 2022. We encourage families to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible. Wooster’s federal school code is 003037. And don’t forget, our generous merit scholarships reward your hard work and academic achievement. In fact. Money magazine ranked Wooster No. 10 on its list of the best private colleges for merit aid.
