Boeing Boeing by Marc Camoletti

Setting: 1960s Paris, France

Cast: 6 total; casting will determine how these break down but initially written for 2M/4W, all/any race/ethnicity/gender

2008 Tony Award winner for Best Revival, this 1960s French farce adapted for the English-speaking stage features self-styled Parisian lothario Bernard, who has Italian, German, and American fiancées, each a beautiful airline hostess with frequent “layovers.” He keeps his “one up, one down, and pending” until unexpected schedule changes bring all three to Paris, and Bernard’s apartment at the same time.

Note: Keenly aware of the misogynistic trappings of most farce as it descends from the rustic commedia dell’arte of the 16th century, casting will incorporate a more feminist approach to the play while remaining true to the original attempt at well-written physical comedy. Therefore, auditions will be encouraged by all races, genders, and physical abilities.
