Lee A. McBride III

McBride specializes in American philosophy, ethics, political philosophy, and philosophy of race, but has broad interests that extend into ancient Greek philosophy, decolonial philosophy, and environmental ethics. He has published articles on human nature, food ethics, poetic language, insurrectionist ethics, pragmatism, anger, oppression, and racism. He is currently writing two books: one on the philosophy of W.E.B. Du Bois and another on creative rebelliousness, pragmatism, and the imaginative and coalitional work of shaping a world with less subjection and degradation.

McBride also serves on the Editorial Boards of The Journal of Speculative Philosophy, The Pluralist, and Contemporary Pragmatism.
