This report aims to provide the leadership of The Viola Startzman Clinic with an evaluation of recruitment and retention strategies and insights into loan repayment programs. To achieve this, the team explored loan repayment and forgiveness programs and investigated the possibility of collaborative efforts in the form of volunteering or clinical observation hours with oral healthcare education programs. In addition, the team interviewed dentists working and operating their own private practices and investigated the recruitment techniques of other non-profits. Our process involved extensive research and analysis mainly focused on the non-profit dental industry in Ohio. The process resulted in a comprehensive analysis of the non-profit dental industry and The Clinic’s standing compared to the industry, best practices, and recommendations to tackle identified problem areas that hinder The Clinic’s performance.
