No-cost, confidential reproductive health services available at the Longbrake Student Wellness Center for three weeks this spring and again in the fall

Longbrake Student Wellness Center

All students can now access reproductive health services, including birth control, reproductive-health counseling, STI testing and treatment, at the Wellness Center through a new program available on Thursdays from 3-5 p.m. Services are part of a short-term clinic this spring, with availability on April 22, 28 and May 6. The clinic will resume again on Thursdays in the fall. Students are asked to schedule appointments for the reproductive-health clinic through the Wellness Center, but walk-ins will also be accommodated if staff is available.

The new reproductive-health clinic is being run by staff from The Viola Startzman Clinic in Wooster, whose goal is to make is easier for students to access the care they need. Those who can’t make it to the Wellness Center on Thursdays from 3-5 p.m. can also obtain reproductive-health services at the VSC Medical Center near campus. Services are also available for students throughout the summer at the VSC Medical Center.

Reproductive-health services are delivered confidentially. If students have insurance, The Viola Startzman Clinic can bill services through insurance, but students who don’t have insurance or don’t want charges to go through an insurance provider can still receive services at no cost. Federal Title X funding helps offset the cost of services.

Call the Wellness Center at 330-263-2319 to schedule an appointment or get more information. For more information about services at The VSC Medical Center, call 330-262-2500 or visit startzmanclinic.org.
