Why Wooster

When making life changing decisions, there are priorities that have to be made. One of those priorities for me is cultural competence. At Wooster there is inclusion, cultural competence, and acceptance of the unique challenges that are faced with these differences.I grew up in Wooster and know first hand the challenges that are faced being a person of color and a minority. I want to foster multicultural awareness and inclusion.

Advice for Applicants

Be prepared for a challenge and to further challenge yourself, continue to be open and fluid while being enrolled. Do not be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Challenge divisions that you see and bridge the gap if you find one; as the great Ruth Bader Ginsburg said, “Fight for the things that you care about, but do it in a way that will lead others to join you.”

Favorite Wooster Tradition

My favorite Wooster tradition is filling the Arch with snow in the winter!
