As Director of Global Engagement, I seek to provide students with opportunities to
participate in study abroad experiences that are academically enriching, professionally
beneficial, and transformative. I also collaborate with Wooster faculty to develop and
implement faculty-led (TREK) programs that expand global learning opportunities for our
students.
I have worked in international education for over ten years, supporting both study
abroad and international student services. My passion for global engagement stems from
my own experience studying abroad in Cairo, Egypt, where I participated in the Intensive
Arabic Program at the American University in Cairo. That experience shaped my
understanding of culture, language, and belonging and continues to inspire my work in
international education. I hold an M.A. in TESOL and an M.A. in International and
Comparative Politics from Wright State University and am currently completing my Ph.D.
in Cultural Foundations of Education at Syracuse University.
I am passionate about working with students and helping them connect study abroad to
their academic and career aspirations. I love seeing students return from their
experiences with a broader worldview and new confidence in themselves.
Outside of work, I enjoy time with my cats, building Legos, baking, and walks at local
parks!
