A carbon sequestration study evaluating insect population dynamics in old field vegetation communities is also being conducted.

Campus Learning Garden
Faculty in the Environmental Studies and Biology departments utilize the learning garden for teaching and research. Courses taught at the garden include ENVS 230 (Sustainable Agriculture), 265 (Gardening Practicum), 270 (Agroecology). Current research at the garden includes a pollinator garden project that is being conducted by Dr.‘s Mariola, Ison, and Moreno (include photo).
Indoor Greenhouse in Ruth Williams Hall of Life Sciences
Wooster students volunteer in collaboration with A Whole Community at the OARDC to salvage produce that is distributed throughout the community. Contact current president of Greenhouse student club if interested.
Orrville Brownfield Restoration
Sustainable farming on a former brownfield in Orrville, Ohio. Opportunities for students to engage in research, education, and outreach at a small-scale lavender farm that was formerly an industrial waste site. If interested, contact Dr. Carlo Moreno for more information.
