Wooster Honors Employees at Annual Service Recognition Luncheon

WOOSTER, Ohio — The College of Wooster honored 34 retirees and 52 employees at its annual staff service recognition luncheon on May 15 in Lowry Center.
Heading the list are eight retirees with 30 or more years of service – Tom Love, who is ending his tenure after 37 years in athletics, Sue Dunlap (libraries) and Lucinda Sigrist (career planning), both retiring after 32 years, along with Georgia Adkins (campus dining), Nancy Wright (financial aid), and Deb Yockey (custodial) with 31 years of service, and Mindy Albright (wellness center), and Jackie Middleton (academic affairs retiring after 30 years.
Those retiring with 20 or more years of service are Miriam Terman (wellness center) with 29 years, Sharon Howard and Peggy Mann, both from campus dining with 27 and 26 years, respectively, Carolyn Buxton (dean of students), Esther Horst (wellness center), Joyce Murphy (nursery school), and Peter Wilbur (campus dining) with 25 years of service, Jackie Middleton (facilities management) with 23 years, Barbara Flickinger (custodial) and Michael Hutson (security and protective services, with 22 years, Janet Hershberger and Christine Lewis, both from campus dining, with 21 years, and Rose Seling (academic affairs) with 20 years of service.
Retirees with at least 10 years of service are Alan and Annie Ho from campus dining, and Don Ogrizek (facilities management) with 18 years, Randy Thomas (campus dining) with 17 years, John Hopkins (college relations) and Donna Reed (academic affairs) with 16 years, Marlene Brown (applications development) and Sue DeCapua (custodial services) with 15 years, Linda Hans (facilities management) with 14 years, Karolyn Starr (custodial) and Vicki Strickler (campus dining) with 13 years, and Sue Hollin (post office) and Shawne Payson (custodial) with 12 years of service.
In addition to the retirees, Gary Beckler and Jeff Moser from campus grounds, and Dennis Rice from athletics, were recognized for 30 years of service, while six others celebrate 25 years, including Jennifer Harper, Mike Pegram, and Debra Stowers from custodial services, Laura Neill with Ohio Light Opera, and Patrice Smith with academic affairs.
Those marking 20 years of service are Jess Armstrong (advancement), April Banach and Gladys Keegan from campus dining, Doug McGlumphy (art museum), Frederick Potter (facilities management), and Santha Schuch (academic affairs). Six others celebrate 15 years at Wooster, including Darlene Berresford (academic affairs), Brad Cors (advancement), Rebecca Ginther (campus dining), Beth Lingenfelter (academic affairs), Mary Spencer (academic affairs), and Sarah Stanley (college relations).
The 10-year honorees include Matthew Baker (applications development), Cynthia Bernardy, Mary Cornelius, and Karen Parthemore with academic affairs, Mollie Conley and Melanie Schultz with admissions, Erin Christine (libraries), Shaquéz Dickens (finance and business), Kristine Jamieson (registrar), Amber Larson (learning center), Landre McCloud (alumni and parent engagement), Melissa Schultz (college relations), J. Lynn Thompson and Julie Wright, both with Ohio Light Opera, and Julia Zimmer (Lowry Center).
Rounding out the list are five-year honorees, including campus grounds employees Roger Bevington, Cody Brooks, Samuel Farrar, and Bob Kimber; campus dining employees Stephen Hurt, Peggy Luhring, Nicole Vukich, and Peter Wallin; facilities management employees Ben Oakes, William Jeff Snyder, and Stan Starr; custodial employees Ken Musser and Wendy Yungen; along with Wes Davis (athletics), Kate Gullatta (learning center), and Missy Schen (academic affairs).
