Lorraine Forcinito named associate vice president for human resources

WOOSTER, Ohio–Lorraine Forcinito has been named associate vice president for human resources at The College of Wooster following a national search. She begins her duties January 6.
Forcinito joins Wooster with decades of leadership and operations experience in government, industry and not-for-profits, including 13 years spent in human resources roles at private liberal arts colleges and universities.
“Lorraine brings a deep understanding of human resource management and an appreciation for the unique challenges and opportunities of higher education organizations,” said Sarah Bolton, president of The College of Wooster. “I look forward to the many ways Lorraine will continue to elevate our available resources, services, and support for all Wooster employees, including building upon our commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.”
At Wooster, Forcinito will report to the vice president for finance and business and will be responsible for the strategic leadership and management of HR staff and all aspects of human resources, supporting employee recruitment, development, and the overall experience. In collaboration with partners across campus, she will work to advance employee success, and continue the development of College policies and best practices to maintain a positive and fair working environment that attracts, develops, supports, and retains a qualified, high-performing, and diverse and inclusive workforce.

Forcinito began her career in human resources in the United States Air Force as a non-commissioned officer for seven years where she managed human resources, payroll, training, and logistics. Most recently, she served for eleven years at Carroll University in Wisconsin, a liberal arts institution supporting 3,500 students, as the Director of Human Resources & Title IX Coordinator/Administrator after having served as Assistant Director of HR for five years. She has also held HR positions at Brandman University, part of the Chapman University System in California, Templeton Worldwide, Inc. in Florida, and Lassonde & Pappas Co. in New Jersey.
Actively engaged in professional societies and community organizations, Forcinito is a proud member of College and University Professional Association (CUPA), SHRM, MRA nonprofit employer association, Hispanic Professionals of Greater Milwaukee, and Waukesha Business Alliance.
She holds a B.S. in human resource management from The New School, a Master’s of Education in Adult Learning & Organizational Leadership from Carroll University, and is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional.
