9-21-21: Campus Community Message

Dear Students, Families and Colleagues,

I hope you are well as fall comes in earnest to our campus.  I write to share an update on campus public health status, which continues to be good.  The dashboard is updated with our data as of yesterday, showing that the overall campus vaccination rate now is 93%.  Our COVID testing last week showed one student and three employees testing positive.  My tremendous gratitude to everyone working together to keep our campus healthy.

We continue to carefully monitor the local situation, and strongly encourage everyone to wear masks when indoors in public spaces off campus.  Masks in indoor shared spaces on campus are required for everyone’s safety.

We are making plans for a round of broader campus COVID testing when students return from fall break, as many will have been travelling, and we will share those next week.  We are also tracking the new information that is coming about approval for vaccine boosters, and will keep the campus community informed about that and the opportunity for flu vaccinations coming up soon.
