Drawing the Story: The Art of Storyboarding with Dave Chow
The Department of Art & Art History will host professional illustrator and storyboard artist Dave Chow for a two-day visit in the Ebert Art Center. Dave has worked for major advertising agencies, automotive manufacturers, music producers, and filmmakers, with credits that include more than 17 Super Bowl commercials and illustrated sequences for Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.” A long-serving faculty member at the College for Creative Studies, Dave developed courses in storyboarding and visual communication and has mentored many successful graduates. He remains active in Detroit’s cultural landscape—curating exhibitions, jurying Scholastic competitions, appearing on The Dead Files as a sketch artist, and contributing to Detroit’s historic comic and tiki communities.
