Anna O’Connell is a soprano and harpist specializing in self-accompaniment with folk,
medieval, renaissance, and baroque harps. Her research interests include medieval chant and
seventeenth-century Italian women composers, as well as singing Irish music (and accompanying
herself on harp!). She is a core member of Apollo’s Fire Baroque Orchestra and frequently
performs in Cleveland, where earned her doctorate in historical performance practice in 2023
from Case Western Reserve University.
