The Goliard is the College's magazine of writing and visual art. Created and
produced solely by students, the magazine is a place where they can share their
creativity with each other and the greater College community. The organization
also enables students to participate in every area of publishing, including selection,
editing, graphic design and layout, and editorial policy. The Goliard seeks editorial
assistants from all departments of the College.
Published annually, the Goliard considers for publication any form of original
work that can be reproduced in an arts magazine; poems, stories, essays, photos,
paintings, and drawings are all appropriate submissions.
The purpose of the Goliard is to provide a forum where students who are interested
in the creative arts can join together to discuss and publish their work. In
addition to publishing the magazine, the Goliard sponsors open readings and
other events that enrich the cultural life at Wooster. The Goliard has an office
on the lower level of Lowry Center.
