Clayton Geib

WOOSTER, Ohio – The College of Wooster will celebrate the life of Clayton Geib ’18, a senior chemistry major and football player who was hospitalized Sept. 16 and later passed away, with a campus memorial service at McGaw Chapel on Sunday, Oct. 1. The service, which begins at 1 p.m., is open to the community.

Sarah Bolton, president of the College, Alex Serna-Wallender, campus chaplain, and Aaron Baker, visiting assistant professor of chemistry and Geib’s Independent Study advisor, are all preparing remarks, while the majority of speakers will be his classmates and friends.
Musical selections will be performed by Shades of Gold, a co-ed a cappella ensemble, and the College’s Pipe Band (bagpipers and drummers).
An accomplished and beloved young man, Geib earned CoSIDA academic all-district as well as all-North Coast Athletic Conference honors and was a member of the chemistry club and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee during his time at Wooster. Geib, 21, grew up in London, Ohio.
