Wooster to hold in-person Commencement for the Class of 2021

Commencement 2021

WOOSTER, Ohio (March 25)—The College of Wooster will recognize the Class of 2021 during an in-person commencement ceremony held Saturday, May 8 at 10 a.m.
To follow state guidance on large gatherings and social distancing, while allowing for guests, the ceremony will be held outdoors at John Papp Stadium and will be a ticketed event with masks and six-foot distancing required.

All graduates currently on-campus and studying remotely are welcome to attend the in-person ceremony and will be provided a total of two tickets for family members or guests.  All ticketed guests will be required to present an ID upon entry to John Papp Stadium and must do symptom screening before arrival and report any symptoms/test results that occur for up to 14 days after visiting campus. No tickets will be available on the day of the event.

Graduates and their guests are advised to check Wooster, OH, weather reports and dress for typically cooler Ohio spring temperatures. The College will make all official weather calls no later than Thursday, May 6. In case of severe weather (i.e. lightning, thunderstorms, downpour), the ceremony will be held at McGaw Chapel and all guests will gather separately in Timken Gymnasium in the Scot Center. We will make every effort to hold commencement outside, so that everyone can be together, in person.

All Commencement attendees, whether vaccinated or not, are required to wear masks and maintain six-foot distancing with others outside their family unit at all times while on The College of Wooster campus.

Graduates and their families who cannot be on campus to celebrate in-person will be able to watch and participate in a variety of events virtually at wooster.edu/commencement.
