Wooster named ‘Best Value College’ by The Princeton Review

The College of Wooster has once again made The Princeton Review’s list of Best Value Colleges. The ranking makes Wooster one of 200 schools in the United States seen as having the best return on investment (ROI). Colleges and universities are evaluated by experts who look at 40 data points to determine quality in academics, affordability and career preparation delivered by each institution.

In addition to being named a Best Value College, Wooster was further recognized as #11 on The Princeton Review’s list of Top 20 Private Best Schools for Internships and #17 on the list ot Top Private Best Schools for Making an Impact. Wooster students surveyed by The Princeton Review gave high scores to the College’s ability to match students with internships. Students also had positive reviews about the more than 120 student organizations on campus and a vibrant culture of service on campus, which is why Wooster ranked high as a place where students can make an impact.

Wooster’s center for Advising, Planning, and Experiential Learning, known as APEX, provides career services that include not just internships, but career planning and help for alumni long after graduation. The recognition by The Princeton Review reflects Wooster’s commitment to preparing students for fulfilling careers as well as the strong partnerships Wooster maintains with employers.

Wooster has appeared on The Princeton Review list multiple times, including in 2019 and 2020, since the “Best Value Colleges” was first published in 2004. Wooster has also been recognized as #6 in the United States on LendEDU’s list of Best Colleges for Financial Aid. Earlier this year, Wooster was called the place where educational quality meets affordability in  a new book, “The Price You Pay for College,” written by higher-education expert Ron Lieber.
