Wooster announces four new Board of Trustees members
The College of Wooster welcomed four new members to its Board of Trustees for the 2023-24 school year. Sarah Murchison ’93 and Brian Grandison ’92 will serve as standard trustees. Angie Triplett ’06 joins as the alumni board president and an alumni trustee. Craig Lombardi ’89 joins as an alumni trustee and a member of the Alumni Board.
Murchison is the managing director at New Perspectives, Inc., a company she co-owns that specializes in helping to maximize the value of developmental pharmaceutical and biotech products for either launch or licensing and acquisition. She has 30 years of commercialization expertise in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry and has led over 20 product launches. She holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from Washington University School of Medicine. Murchison was a communication studies major at Wooster and was involved in many activities on campus including women’s soccer, Alpha Gamma Phi, Lambda Phi Alpha and led the campus tour guide program for several years. She served on the Wooster Alumni Board from 2001-04 and as a presidential fellow from 2014-17.
Majoring in business economics, Grandison currently serves as director of digital information technology for Fossil Group, Inc. located in Richardson, TX. Fossil offers a diverse portfolio of owned and licensed brand products and is best known for producing fashionable watches and accessories. In this position, he is responsible for defining the Digital Technology Strategic Roadmap and implementing critical IT solutions. Grandison also serves on the Fossil Foundation Innovation Committee, which invests in global partner initiatives, bringing disruptive, scalable, and systemic change to young lives. Prior to Fossil, He was an Ernst and Young Consultant and the owner and president of BGV Corporation. A resident of Lewisville, Texas, Grandison is actively involved in the community through volunteering, fundraising, and philanthropic opportunities. In 2008, he founded PART Organization, a nonprofit that offers mentoring, health, and educational programs to underserved youth in the Dallas/Forth Worth communities. At Wooster, Grandison was very active in campus life and was on the varsity football team. Grandison is a member of the W Association Hall of Fame and gives to The Wooster Fund.
An alumni trustee, Lombardi is the Managing Director Defined Contribution Investment and Sub Advisory at Virtus Investment Partners. He has had a 30+ year career in the Investment Management business, previously working as the director at Vontobel Asset Management, a boutique investment firm for institutional and private clients, managing vice president and head of institutional investment at ICMA-RC, and in multiple other senior positions in sales and relationship management with AllianceBernstein as well as 20 years with Fidelity Investments. Lombardi was a history major at Wooster and co-captain of the varsity football team, as well as a member of Phi Sigma Alpha and a resident assistant. He also served on the alumni board from 1998-2001.
Appointed as both the Alumni Board president and an alumni trustee, Triplett is the associate director at The Aerospace Corporation, a nonprofit that conducts federally funded research and development for national-security space programs. She has advanced in the corporation since starting in 2015 and currently manages a team that provides technical support to advise the US Space Force in enhancing their capabilities through international partnerships. Her background is in nonlinear vibrations and her passions lie in alternative forms of energy. A physics major at Wooster, Triplett holds a M.S. and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from University of Akron. She has previously served on the alumni board and has been involved in Fighting Scots Career Connections and the Going True/LGBTQ+ Affinity Group.
