College Mourns the Passing of Elaine Snyder
WOOSTER, Ohio — Elaine Smith Snyder, who served The College of Wooster for 22 years in the libraries, passed away April 26 in Wooster. She was 67.
Snyder worked in the College’s libraries from 1991 until her retirement in 2013, serving as the special collections associate in Andrews Library. Her career also included work for The Ohio State University, Whetstone High School, the Agricultural Technical Institute, Dr. Brian Lacey’s dental practice, and Wooster City and Wayne County Schools.
She is survived by her children Douglas and Karen, and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 29, at 2 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Mackey Hall (353 E. Pine St.) in Wooster. A complete obituary can be found in theWooster Daily Record.
